Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - M4gery type side sling adapter loose or tight?

The side mounted sling adapter that clamps onto the barrel under the front sight and looks like a two-piece deal connected with two roll pins.  Should this be rock solid on the barrel, or able to rock and slide inside of the sight tower?  Is there a difference in manufacturers- ie. Colt Bushy?

Mine was tight, now after 2 years with it, it is a little loose.

i have an upper from rock river with the side sling and it is loose as hell
