Have on upper that possible has a slight tilt of the front sight base, as have to adjust rear sight half way to the left, while this works the the front guard wing got damaged in shipping, thus thinking of changing the front sight base.

Anyone have experence "adjusting" the tilt of the new sight base a little bit, as of course the two pin slots have already been drilled last time.

Replacing the FSB is a major operation beyond the reach of most kitchen table operations.

The windage is off because the barrel is incorrectly installed in the upper. If the barrel was damaged in transit send it back to the maker. While they have it tell them the windage was off and ask that they fix it.

Thanks for the heads up (sounds like one of those projects that if you have to ask, then you can't do it) and will have to start by working on several barrels that are junk (not enough rifling left to even light tracers).

Already have sent back the upper to have the windage "adjusted", and the shipping damage occured on the way back, thus this is one of those issues where each cycle get worst and one thinks maybe that they should not have gotten out of bed on that day [:)]

In any case the maker (supplier) has done everthing that they can do and since was a one of a kind item for them, they can not do a replacement.  Did offer full credit on anything else in their line (which too make a long story short too late, I passed on for good reason).

Primary driving force is thinking about a folding front sight is try out a low to medium power scope.  In any case for better or worst have the barrel in another upper and will see how it shoots, the damage to the wings has been dressed, the spot hit with cold black and since is on a M16 barrels are only a temorary item anyway [:)]
