I have round marks on the face of my buffer which is coming from the carrier.I would like to know is this normal or if not what would cause this. Thanks

Normal, When the carrier/buffer comes back and is stopped by the back of the receiver extension, the carrier will sliglty impact/indent the face of the buffer.
