I recently had a ftc on some ammo of unknown make. I posted the prob, gave the symtoms. 1 reply said I might need to consider chamber polising. I called DPMS & they said all thier's come polished. Is it possible to ruin the surface of the chamber without abusing it, to the point of needing to repolish it? & if so, what do you look for to indacate it is time to repolish it?

Before you start to do anything with the rifle, you need to determine if the rifle is at fault, or the ammo.

Since you stated that the ammo in unknown, then buy some ammo that is proven.  If you still have problems with good factory ammo, then start looking for faults with the rifle.
