Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - scope mount ring screw stripped

I stripped the last screw to come out of the ring. It was the 6 or 8 sided type. Anyway how would you suggest I get it out.Help please becauase I just sold the scope and cant get it off. thanks

Reverse tap, or just drill the head out of screw, and then slide the ring past the threaded post. If the drill bit does bite into the screw, then starts turning the screw then just pull the drill bit and screw out.

Or, if the mount is a cheap design and can be easily replaced, use a Dremil with a cut-off blade and cut threw the slot.  Then replace the mount when done.
