I'm new to AR's but I'm pretty sure these are identical. Mistake on Palmettos part maybe?

Thanks for the help!

The first is a standard A2 (or government) profile, light under the handguard and heavy from the front sight to the muzzle.

The second is a modified A2, which is lighter from the front sight to the muzzle...this is a lighter overall barrel.

I never have liked the government profile barrels, they are light where they should be heavy, and heavy where they should be light.

I would choose the second and have a lighter upper.
