Was looking in the garage for a way to attach a pressure switch to my forward grip besides the crap-ass Velcro that came with it.  I was thinking an inner tube, but then I remembered this extra wide heat shrink tubing I had leftover from another project.  I had to try twice since it actually shrunk too far and activated the switch the first go round.  I'm VERY happy with the way this turned out, the tubing is kind of rubbery and grippy, no downside at all.  Anyway, this has probably been done before, but I'd never seen it, so I figured I'd share.

What happens when the gun gets hot or a really hot day and it shrinks even more?

Wont it expand on a hot day?

Anywho, the Larue FUG comes with bands similar to this.

Personally, I'd be more worried about the 8 feet of cord hanging of it.

I don't think it'll get that hot, it took some pretty direct application of a heat gun to get it to shrink.
