I have this barrel:

Barrel Length: 16"
Mil-spec Barrel steel
5.56 Nato Chamber
1 in 7" twist
Chrome-lined bore
Mid-length Gas Port
.625" Diameter at gas block
Special Pencil barrel profile
Weight: 1.45lb

Here is a link to PSA's website. (http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/upper-parts/barrels/psa-16-cmv-5-56-nato-mid-length-pencil-profile-chrome-lined-mp-premium-barrel.html)

My question is: Does anyone know the specs on the muzzle thread. This is my first time using this barrel and I want to know the specs in order to attach a muzzle device. I have contacted PSA three times via email and they do not respond. When I called, twice, the guy who knows is not there.

I want to install a Smith's enterprise Vortex muzzle device. Anyone knows which will be the correct thread size, pitch, etc?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks!

I thought all 5.56 were threaded to 1/2 x 28.

That's what McGowen barrels say, but I'm not really sure if all other manufacturers stick to that standard. I know FN is the maker of my barrel.

I have that barrel in my upper with a standard A2 flash hider on it - so I can confirm it's 1/2"-28.
