Spikes Block Works is a different style that improves on the Panther Claw by holding the receiver sideways in the vice. It is for flat tops only. There is a US made knock off on Ebay that gets good reviews. The Geissele Reaction Rod is yet another style that holds via the barrel extension. |

Clamps can leave telltale marks on the receiver. I use an internal vise block.
