Wanted to get some input for a build I was interested in doing. It will be a build around the 7.62x40, I had the pleasure of shooting one and was highly impressed with the controllability and performance. This thing had way less recoil than my mk18 with griffin FH and it was using .308 bullets in a .223 case. Granted I do my own reloads so I will have no problem with ammo. In the current market as far as I know and correct me if I'm wrong, Wilson combat is the only source for the ammo. So in short, just wanted to see what you guys think about this build and would you build one. Thanks.

Check out the 300 blackout (7.62x35). While not quite as potent,  SAAMI acceptance makes it much more widely available, both ammo and hardware.

Agree with you on the 300 blackout, although I know friends who has it I wasn't highly impressed. I guess the DIY'er in me is just looking for something different. Who knows it may one day be widely available as well, After shooting it, just made me wanna build one for myself.
