Does anyone know if someone makes an HK MP5 style sliding collapsable stock that can be used on an AR15?

wouldn't the buffer tube get in the way?

There's this, if you have a .22 or other buffer-less upper.

Yep, thats what I was looking for.

Yeah I was wonder how I might get around the whole buffer tube thing, but guess i cant.  Even AR15 Pistons at least have a buffer tube, even if it is small.

Well, it is something to think about i guess.  Nice stock though.  Thanks for posting that.

There's a pic of Mike Mers from AAC with HK's new 416 PDW setup that had a very short tube and looked incredibly compact.  I'm sure we suck and are hated too much by HK to get one, though.

ZM had a folding stock AR––their piston and bolt carrier system had the bulk of moving parts forward of the receiver. Granted its not a MP5/HK3 style collapsible, but the idea of getting away from the buffer tube isn't new. Also, look at RRA's piston pistols, with the forward charging handle––they don't have a buffer tube.

ZM and Olympic Arms have both made systems which require no receiver extension at all, but those are the only two which come to mind.

I just put an HK 416 E1 stock on an AR I just finished building... nice stock, very comfortable for me. Never seen anyone put an MP5 style on one though.

Have a link to ZM?  Have not heard of them before.  Will check out Olympic.  Saw RRA PDS system.  Pretty sweet but would like that in 9mm.
