looks like it was CNC'd with a damn jigsaw.  Arrived from Brownells today.  As of right now, Noveske is not living up to the hype....not even close.

It shouldn't affect function or integrity of of the piece.

I agree....but I wanted the best, so I bought Noveske.  This is the best?  It looks like I made it.

That is normal for a stamped endplate.  Mine looks exactly the same.

The two I have work fine with my QD slings.  Was I suppose to buff them out first?

Just about every endplate, EVER, looks like that or worse...

Except for some of the really pricey fully CNC'd ones.

As far as I'm concerned, its still the best.  That plate is the lowest profile QD end plate you can get.  I have one and have been nothing but happy with it, and every adjustable-stock rifle I build from here on out will have one.  I'm not sure if mine looks like that or not, but if it did, I don't think it would bother me much.

I don't usually jump on the fit/finish bashing bandwagon because I like my guns to look good when new, but I think this complaint is a being too nitpicky

Well....I'm over it.  Just put the plate on and I'm moving on.  It does fit nicely....I will give Noveske plenty of credit for that.

I don't think Noveske actually makes that much like the majority of the rifle save for the barrel.

PacNor makes Noveske's barrels, they finish them.

I know, I always find it funny when folks here prattle on about Noveske as if it was made with tears of Virgins when all is –– is a rifle assembled out of parts from third parties with some containing a Noveske roll stamp.

its not a modern art masterpiece ––its an endplate.

Noveske shines with those famous barrels and build quality.

What difference does the name make if you know the quality is usually excellent?? Porsche makes Audi and Volkswagon, GM makes Cadillac and Chevy. Do you care that most of the parts in a Chevy pickup are NOT actually made by Chevrolet?? Stop griping about origins of names and products. Noveske products are superior, wether they are all made by Novekse in house or by, say, Zippy the Pinhead. Sheesh.

If you look at any of Noveske's pictures of the endplates, you can see they are not made to perfection.  But considering its $25 vs say a CNC machined endplate like Daniel Defense for $40, I'll take the Noveske endplate.  It doesn't need to cost a fortune or look pretty to function.
