Hello, I'm building my first DI AR. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting Robar Industries to put the NP3 Teflon/nickel coating on a BCG? I'm wondering about interfering with the tolerances b/t the BCG/upper & the interface of the bolt and barrel. I wouldn't think it would be a problem as it can't be any thicker than hard chrome, but just checking. The NP3 coating makes cleaning a snap, and call me crazy, but I just don't enjoy scrubbing a BCG! I'm looking for feedback from people who have direct experience with this, and I do plan on emailing Robar for their opinion. Thanks in advance!

They've probably done thousands of BCGs. I have nickel plated my own BCGs with no ill effect. The nickel plating is generally less than 2 mils.

$130 + shipping for the bolt, internals & carrier. I'll be sending mine off this Saturday! Thanks!
