Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel parts

Please excuse me for my ignorance, but I am currently building my first AR. I recently received a barrel and there are a couple of small pieces I'm not sure about.

There is a small spring and what looks like a small spring guide. I'm thinking these might be part of the front sight because I can't imagine them going anywhere else.

Any idea about this spring and guide?

Front Sight Parts held captive by the Front Sight Post.
You're good to go if you have the 3 and a sight body on the barrel.
