I was looking for AR info when I stumbled on this forum.  Kept reading and got interested in machining lowers. Long story cut short, I got a 5 pack from Spikes and am now about 1/3 thru RayVin's manual.  That guy deserves a medal !
My first AR was a Rock River lower with mostly Model 1 upper components.  I love it but it is heavy to haul around in the field. 20" bull barrel, A2 stock. I am interested in building a light weigh field gun with iron sights.  Could anyone offer an opinion on Sarco kits?  They advertise in Shotgun News all the time and seem to have a good rep as far as parts go.
Thanks,
Duckmanmark

I can't offer an opinion on the kits, but welcome to the forum!
