How the hell do you get this thing off?  Also is the free float foregrip the actual barrel nut or is it threaded on to it like most free floats.  Thanks for helping a newbie!!!

Sorry, not to much help, but looking at the picture of the COLT HBAR Elite, it appears the gas block is just a shaved down standard FSB, with the pins.  Might want to research how to remove the FSB and do the same.

I haven't pulled a FSB, but I have pounded out taper pins in automotive stuff, the secret is to make sure the item is well supported so all the force of the punch is absorbed by the pin.  There is a FSB block available for driving pins in/out.  You want to check with people with more experience, but at least this might get you started.
