First build- I have 2 Superior Arms lower w/ lpk from J&T. Any suggestions for pretty basic complete upper? Don't have a ton of money to blow.
Just want to get one together. Then hoping to do stripped upper etc for the second build. Input appreciated.

There were a lot of M16A1 USGI take offs a few years ago - this was an interesting light weight upper.
While limited for future builds due to the A1 sights and the 1 in 12 barrel twist, makes a nice shooter and works for 22 LR.
While most of these have dried up from the primary surplus market, still see a few at gun shows etc.
Check for any damage and extent of barrel wear before buying.

PK seems to have RRA uppers in stock more often then anyone else. and they come with CH, BCG  ect...

Have some fun; get a 6.5, 6.8, .450, .458, or .50 cal upper.

Thanks for the input- I think I'm going to go with a 6,8 per Powder_Burns suggestion. I know the ammo's spendy- but so is 5.56/.223 lately.
Any input from people on this type build (on a 5.56 recever) would be cool.   I read the FAQ.
