Bolt catch spring size - Problem

[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Bolt catch spring size - Problem

I have both DPMS and Bushmaster bolt catch springs. The pin and spring chart shows that they should have 11 coils and be .517 long and .154 OD

Mine has 8 coils and is .390 long and .147 OD

Do I have the wrong spring or is the chart wrong?

What is mil spec on this spring?

I'd be interested in seeing measurements from several to know for sure.

I don't have the specs in front of me, but make sure you aren't looking at the disconnector spring.

I just looked at a couple - eight coils and ~.390" long. They seem to work.

Disconnector spring is bigger on one one than the other. Mine are same on both ends.

OK apparently the pin/spring chart is incorrect.
