For my light weight build Im planning on using a carbine length dpms carbon fiber FF forearm.  Will this forearm be long enough to completely hide a low profile gas block?

Probably not, it will be 2 inches short of covering the gas block.

A carbine length FF forearm isn't long enough to cover any gas blocks,  if you want to get the gas block under the
handguard go with a mid-length or longer.  As far a lo-pro gas block, I really like the Vltor.  Well made, very slim profile.
Noveske contracted Vltor to make them for their barrels.  Mine fits under my LaRue FF with LOTS of clearance all
around.
