Not in FDE, anyway. And not for under 300 bucks....I'm looking at you, Geissele. I love that receiver set, though. Especially that lower. I love that trigger & bcg combo, too. Nice work! |

View Quote I did the paint job. Third time painting an AR. It's krylon fusion matte black, antique gray, matte sweet fig, and frog tape from Lowe's. At first I set out to make Swedish splinter camo with different colors, but I've never painted it before so it didn't turn out quite how I wanted. Still got a unique result that's grown on me since completion. The use of tape on the uneven surfaces and my..... Somewhat hasty, beer fueled painting made for some less than ideal lines when viewed up close lol. Haven't fired it yet since rebuilding the front end, but it's using the same BRT .70 gas tube and H3 buffer w/standard spring that was smooth and reliable in the previous configuration. 12 inch Mlok handguard from ACME machine I've had in a parts box for a while. New parts are: Aero lo pro gas block Samson HK style front sight Midwest Industries blast can Lately I've been getting a lot of enjoyment from hanging out in the garage making stuff and this is a result of that. |

My panic build is finally done after about a year. It was horror show of a build, but I think the end result is pretty solid.

Attached File Took awhile to acquire parts for this build, but got it done. Now it just needs a light, a sling, and she’s all done. The sling in the pic I alternate between this rifle and my other rifle. |

This rifle was a fun assembly (As in easiest ever.) and a pleasure to shoot. The plan came together nicer than usual. I intended to put an LPVO on top but I had such a good time shooting with the SIG MCX sights I may just leave things as they are.

He commented on the camo lower and upper combo while stating that he would want a Reptilia grip for his next build. You said that the lower was technically an Aero. It's not. Weird, no where does he say anything about the camo... The lower is in reference to MY picture above the post with the KE Arms lower... MY picture has the Reptilia grip and it also has an Aero upper. The lower is made for Ballistic Advantage by Aero since the are sister companies.... |
