Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Building a AR45

Hey guys I'm building a AR45 with A MGI lower with a Grease gun mag well. I'm picking up my lower today  . Do you have any suggestion on barrels, upper, bolt carrier, bolt and ect?  Also would a the regular free float hand guard work, also the gas port carbine. mid, or rifle legnth? (that might be stuipd question)

There's a .45 ACP Conversion Guide sticky in the Rimfire and Pistol Calibers forum, and asking your question  in that forum will probably get a better response. .45 ACP ARs are blowbacks, so there is no gas port. I suppose you could try to build a DI .45, but I don't think anybody's had any luck with that.
