Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - What flash hiders make a 14.5" barrel legal?

If I decide to forgo the $200 tax on my next build, what are my options for a flash hider?  I will be purchasing a 14.5" barreled upper.  If I go the stamp route, i will be a moot point, I will get the 10.5" upper.  

It seems like most of the pinned flash hiders I have seen are either the Smith Vortex or the YHM Phantom.  Are there other options.  Will the Troy Medieval hider work?  Others?

Thanks for any suggestions.

As long as it makes the barrell 16" or more and is perm attached.
