About to order a YHM free-float for my brand new CMMG 16" M4 carbine, but I can't seem to find a good walk-through on the install process...nor can I find a list of necessary tools and where to find them.  I'm also not sure if my FSB will fit over the hider...doesn't look like it would, could anyone confirm this?

If you know of a well written walk-through, preferably with pics, on the install of a free-float...then please post a link.

If you know what tools I need, and where I can find them...post some links.  I've found a few websites when searching "ar15 tools", but I have no idea what I need or who would have the best prices.

Total is $173.17, which doesn't include whatever Spike's charges for shipping.  Might have to hold off for a bit on this install.  Fiance would kill me if I handed out another $200 after buying this CMMG.

I'm trying to get everything ordered now, since it turns out a local car club buddy has the block and wrench and is willing to let me borrow them to install my forearm.  I can get the punches locally, I should already have an un-opened set buried in my tool-box.

The only question I have is which YHM end-cap do I get?  There's two...YHM-9484A (15/16") & YHM-9484B (1 1/16").  The price is the same on both.  Does it matter which one I get?

I'm honestly not sure, and I have no way to measure it at this time.  Just bought it, it's the special run 16" M4 WASP carbine that CMMG did for RSR Group.

I'm also not sure if I have to remove my hider to remove the FSB.  If I do, how the heck do you remove it?  I've seen a thread about permanent hiders that had to be cut/drilled off and I really don't want to do that to my new toy.

i've got a yhm on my m4.  yes, you will need to remove the FH.  A action block set in a vise helps greatly with this & tightening the bbl nut.  YHM sends decent directions with the hand guard, no problem there.  You'll need a screwdriver & small hammer to tap on the handguard lock nut for tightening too, just in case you didn't know...
