1. Anyone have an opinion on a steel vs aluminum charging handle?

2. What is the best tactical latch and why?

3. If ambidextrous tactical latch, which one and why?

I have never used anything but the standard charging handle so I cant speak to that.

I do however have a Badger Tac-latch and love it. Dont really see why an ambidextrous model would be necessary with the Badger model, it is plenty large enough to easily operate with either hand.

Tac-Latches work well for a scoped weapon such as a varmint rifle. I find they catch on your clothes and gear on a weapon that will be used in CQB..

I like PRI's Gas Buster w/"Big Latch"- especially worthwhile if using a can.
