I bought a stripped lower and put the parts kit into it. THIS IS VERY EASY! It might seem intimidating but following the many guides out there to do so is very easy and was not hard at all. I bought my Upper from Legal Transfers and then put a two piece free float rail on it. Here is what I started off with:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a270/RiverSmallie/BattleRifle.jpgI thought of getting a kit and that would have been a little cheaper but I wanted the MIAD grip and I thought I wanted the CTR but I after some thought I went for the VLTOR clubfoot. I really like the clubfoot it locks up nicely and it hasn't torn off my facial hair either!
I used four different vendors to get my parts, DD's Ranch (Stripped Lower off of Gunbroker), Legal Transfers (Upper & Parts Kit), Bravo Company (MI Rail & Badger Tact Latch), Brightflashlights (Clubfoot, Miad, Rail Covers, G2 light kit, and probably some other stuff). All vendors were great and I received excellent service!
Now I am getting a C&R license to get the K31, Mosin, Mauser, and others that I want for cheaper!
