My daughter needs help, she want to build her first AR, and wants to do the
Paint scheme like this. Also who sells the pink furniture ? and how to paint it. Please no rude comments, my 14 year old daughter will be reading this, Remember her father is WELL ARMED !

Your best bet would be to have someone Duracoat it.

What's Duracoat ? I know about Dupont and PPG automotive paints, main thing Is what prep work on the metal. |

Do a search on it on google. I'm not sure of the website right now.
It's strong as hell and you can get it in any color. The only thing is you'll have to sandblast the metal before it's done, but the person that will do it will do that also. |

I'de just do a base coat of white Krylon, and then cut masking tape in the shape of those stripes, tape it off, and then go over the whole thing in pink krylon

Looks more like two different shades of pink to me. Same thing I suppose, but with a darker shade of pink. |

 (Adjusts tie and clears throat)Anyway, to the question at hand... As far as a paint schene, it comes down to what your daughter wants (if she is certain). I am guessing she does not like/want the scheme on the rifle she is holding. I would go with painting it like any other AR. Do a base coat of white or light pink, and then add on the pattern of your choosing. Best of luck |

Look up Lauer Duracoat at www.lauerweaponry.com I just looked in their catalog to make sure they made the pink and they do. It looks like whoever painted the AR used one of their AM Stripe templates. Cavalry Arms (they're in the INDUSTRY section) made a run of the pink stuff a while back. I have no idea if there's any still available floating around.

It looks to me that it is a tiger stripe pattern. Just use two shades of Duracoat and get a stencil for tiger pattern. You can get the stencil at:

be careful what you get your daughter, next thing she will want is a differnt color ar15 for every pair of shoes she has. Wait, maybe thats a good thing.

sand blast all metal parts ,totally breakdown the recievers ect .look at website dura coat or arma coat, always buy the proper paint with a hardener,you can even bake these coatings to make them even harder. pink maybe a little tough to find ,but do not paint over without sandblasting you will regret it. monk3000
