hi all.  I finished driling out and tapping my 80% receiver and this past weekend attempted to anodize it.  problem is, the black dye didn't quite adhere as well as i would have liked it to.  any suggestions on what type of finish to put on it now would be helpful.  it ended up colorwise resembling something a little like antique brass thats been neglected for decades.  i anyone can tell me how to post a pic of it on here ill do it so you all can see for yourselves.

I have had nothing but excellent success with John Norrels moly resin. You spay it on with an air brush and bake it at 300 degrees. No need to thin it as it comes ready to spray.

To post photos, find a photo server like hunt101.com or become a team member of arfcom to use their photo server and then upload those photos from your harddrive to their server. Once thats done you can post them in threads like this:

{img}web address of your photo here{/img}

type the address location of your pic from the photo host in between the img. brackets but replace the {} brackets with these []

Make sure you type in the address like this:

but use this text instead:  http://www.hunt101.com/img/394941.jpg

When you look at your photo on hunt101 go down to where it says Image Link. Then highlight it and hit control C for copy and then move your cursor onto your post reply and hit control V for paste. Then use the {img}{/img} brackets but replace {} with [] on the outside of the text like whats shown above.

Or you can always use the image posting tool in the reply menu thats right above "Size4" fonts.

Hope Im not making this too hard
