You're shitting me? If you don't hit it perfect you have to start over again? It's a Phantom 5C2, I've done it before on another rifle and my brothers with no issues of it coming loose. Didn't think it would hurt but figured I'd ask here anyway.

crush washers are supposed to be one time deals.
Replace every time FH is removed. its not a big dollar item. |

When I built my Middy, I talked to Denny from GTS. He TOLD me the best way to install a FH to insure it doesn't overtorque (tweaking the crown and possibly affecting accuracy) is to "pre-crush" the washer. Install the FH, probably RIGHT before being timed or be timed. Then unscrew... Then screw it on and make it so you only have to torque it with the wrench for the last 1/4 of a turn or so.
That's how I did it and have had no problems. Unless you can hand tighten it to the correct timing (then it's been crushed too much I'd say), but if you are still having to tighten it with a wrench for at least an 1/8 of a turn, I'd go with it personally.
