I don't think so, on most M1S barrels chrome is an added option. My model 1 upper is not chrome lined and has M1S 1.9 stamped on the barrel.

Not from Model 1 but my 3 chrome Bushmasters have "B MP" stamped on them and my Colt has "C MP" Not sure if that helps.

It probably is not chromed. My 20 inch A2 that I purchase about a year ago says.(M1S HC 1-9) This upper is chromed lined. (I will assume that is what the HC stands for) If in doubt use the blueing test..

If it is chromed it will say M1s 1-9 HC.
