Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Sighting in new build rifle

OK just build my first AR, bought parts off of AR15. Problem is can't get it to shoot staight. I read about indexing front sight by tapping front sight post, it works for 15 yards but at 100 yards can not get it to hit 3by5 ft paper target. The barrel is tight, DPMS rear sight on flat top. What do I do now?
