Bought a tan M4 stock to replace my black one, but for the life of me can't seem to get the old one off.  Looking at the new one, it appears the stocks just slide off and on the buffer tube. Someone please make a fool of me and tell me how easy it is to do. (with step by step instructions)

Thanks for the link!

"Once it clears the last detent hole in the buffer tube if should slide right off."  This is where the trouble lies.  My stock does not.

Instead of pulling on the Lever TOWARD the stock to release the pin, pull it AWAY from the stock to get the pin to go FURTHER than the buffer tube...

Pull the lever AWAY from the stock not toward it to release off the buffer tube

See...I knew it had to be easy!  Thanks for the help.
