I really doubt it would hurt anything. however, the front of the carry handle and the front of the upper receiver are usually flush. It helps keeps your sights alligned and in tune with the point of impact. that...and it looks cooler.

ACE SOCOM stock Just built a Tom Sawyer flaming Skull engraved dissipator with that stock, it is probably the best stock I've ever used. |
