trying to jam a lmt crane stock on a 4 pos buffer tube. damn thing is too tight. whats up with that?

You are trying to fit it on a regular, commercial sized buffer tube...

You need a mil-spec tube like Colt, CMT, Vltor and it'll slide right in that "tight buttstock"

I think this just got weird...

did you try the dealer that you got the stock from, you can get the kit that includes the buffer tube

I went through the same thing.  You need a mil-spec tube.

I'd get an LMT tube, they are notched where the tube meets the buffer retainer, ensures that the stock is perfectly staight.
