Use CLP, it usually works for these threads. If you mean gouges into the bare metal, that is obviously different. |

CLP not CLM, CLP is a do all cleans lubricates and protech. government issue. It wont cover up the shiny stuff. |

Remember, it's a tool. Unless it's real ugly gouges and such, I'd just consider it "character".
You should see my M4gery, if you want to see scuffs/scratches and ugliness, but boy is she a shooter!!! It's what sits next to the bed at night, wouldn't have it any other way

sound silly but use high temp grill paint. It matches most finishes awesome.

The Duplicolor ceramic high heat (header spray paint 600 or 1200) is only a couple bucks more, and is even more solvent resistant and durable. Its not like Norrells, but its great stuff for the price and simplicity. |

Birchwood Casey's "Aluminum Black" works great, the scuffs keep their character but are not shiny anymore. It turns the aluminum pretty dark, I like it.
+1 on the safe queens, but you dont want give up your position at night because of shiny parts! hahah
