Hey guys, I want to build a Bushmaster with the options I like and can afford right now. I am a novice but I want to put it together myself so I can better understand how things work. I live in NJ so I haveto abide by NJ laws ie: no flash suppressor, no folding stock, no lug no pistol grip an I think detachable magazine. I believe I am allowed two of these items. So I went with the pistol grip and detachable box type magazine not exceding 10 rounds. This is my order so far from bushmaster.  I'm not sure if the lower receiver  comes with the  bolt and  carrier so I added them to the order. My question to you guys is, What else do I need to complete  the AR. IE: Parts and tools also do the parts that I have selected ok for and novice anf can I grow with it as I go? Or should I just get this  POST BAN

You might want to ask about assault weapons laws in the New York/New Jersey Forum, just to make sure that you follow the law to a "T".

If you want a non-factory configuaration, it would probably be better to piece together exactly what you want instead of buying a complete rifle and start swapping out parts. You could probably buy the complete lower, a complete 14.5" heavy machine gun UPPER with permanently-attached Izzy brake (and have Bushmaster install the gas block), the rear sight, and you're good to go.
