You have to start with a lower that has never had a stock attached to it. Your state may require that it actually be transferred to you as a pistol lower. It can not ever have a stock attached. As soon as it does, it becomes a rifle and can not be changed back to a pistol. You also can't add a forward grip, that makes it an AOW and requires a $200 tax stamp.
I might be off on something there, but I think that's it. |
