I'm wanting to order a bolt/carrier and charging handle today, but don't really know which one to order. I see Eagle Firearms has the RRA and Stag enhanced bolt/carriers for $120. Bravo Company the CMT chrome lines and the MPI chrome lined $120-$130, and the LMT chromed lined for $130. And Del-Ton has the mil-spec ones for $110, DPMS for $115. And they also have a chrome bolt/carrier for $140. My main concern is reliability.

Colt, Bushmaster, RRA in that order.

Always use the best bolt-carrier assy and barrel you can afford, they are the heart of your rifle.

What about the CMT Chrome LINED M16 Bolt Carrier Group - MPI from Bravo Company? I know I read on here that the M16 bolt carrier groups can now be put in AR's correct? Are these more reliable?

The MPI CMT M16 BCG are legal to use, Colt is currently supplying their LE carbines with M16 BCG which was approved by the BATFE.

There is a copy of the actual approval letter in several threads last year.

The MPI CMT M16 BCG is the best bang for the buck and more reliable than non MP tested bolts but Colt M16 BCG is the best but more money in my opinion YMMV.

I'm using LMT and Colt M16 BCG also a standard CMT BCG, I'm going to buy a MPI CMT M16 BCG for my next build project.

I bought my spare Colt M16 BCG from Jim of Police Supply (industry partner) at the Equipment Exchange board of this site.

Jim goes by the name GunDealer3 at the EE, e-mail or call him, he got great communication, fair price and fast shipping, here's a link of his website below.

Other Colt sources are:

KYImports.com

Hoplite, Inc. (502) 955-5014 (no website call 8 to 5 EST)

specializedarmament.com (SAW high prices but stocks hard to find Colt parts and good service)

I just placed my order with Bravo Company, got my bolt carrier group, charging handle and rear sights on the way. For rear sights I ordered an ARMS#40A2, and I ordered the M16 CMT bolt carrier group and a CMT charging handle. God I hope my wife doesn't look at the bank statements LOL.
