How do I remove the handguard?  I know this is very basic for you guys, but I have never taken anything off an AR.  I wanted to replace the handguard on a 20" colt heavy barrel with a green handguard.  Not much of an upgrade, but it make it more camo for hunting.

Do you see the metal ring between the upper receiver and the handguard?  Pull that toward the upper receiver REALLY hard, you might want some help and the handguards should come off one side at a time.  MJD
