Hello,

I picked up an SP1 upper yesterday...and I was expecting a gray finish on the receiver...but it's black...sort of jet black..not gloss black but almost...comapred to my modern lowers the lowers seem grayish and way flatter in appearence...I have some Norrel's black stuff but it tends to turn out darker than the lowers too, is there anyway of making the Norrel's stuff turn out flatter? What about giving the upper a once over with a very fine sand paper? Thanks in advance.

you could mix the black with the gray or just refinish both recievers together. think you can thin the resin too but not sure.
