I just started my builder buying parts for my builder. I went with a Les Baer lower reciever and a custom built flattop upper with DPMS parts for both.  I want a wood laminate or composite thumbhole stock for my AR, but it seems like JP is the only one who makes one for it.  Does anyone know where else I can find one that may be less than $200 !!  Thanks guys!

Check out Ironwood Designs in San Jose.

Call Matt Schuster and tell him what you want in the way of stocks and handguards.  He might be able to squeeze in a custom set for you into his busy production.

Check this thread.....www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=232373 or IWD's website at ironwooddesigns.com

Boyd's doesn't offer one, but I am sure they would be willing to make one

I like it a lot, but no sign of them on IWDs website.

Guess I will email Matt.

They do handguards in wood? Did not see any their site. The buttstock is easy to find in an A1 or A2 style. The pistol grip and handguards are not. That's what I'm looking for. Plain jane wood A1 or A2  handguards and pistol grips.

I went with the all black wood thumbhole stock  from JP    The handguards that I want have to be seriously ported all the way around the barrel, because I went with the JP heat sink for my barrel.  Without the proting, the heat sink is pointless.
