How is this done with one of those low profile gas blocks that are affixed by screws?

if there is a dimple on the underside of the bbl. then align it with the rear hole of the gas block if not just eyeball it.


but if it really bothers you measure the distance from the gas port to shoulder on the barrel and go from there.

If everything is to spec then distance from shoulder on barrel controls front to rear alignment. If you don't have dimple on bottom. Just mark the barrel on shoulder and mark the gas block and align them while you tighten the gas block.

The hole in gas block is about twice size of gas port. That allows some twisting.
