How do you take off the FF hangaurd off my ar10-t? I've been trying to take the handguard off but, my strap wrench keeps slipping. The handguard is too smooth for it to grip. Is the handguard made of metal or is it fiber glass? Can I heat it with a torch to loosen the loctite? There must be some easy way to do this. I see a lot of handguard for sale that people have taken of there rifles. And yes, I have taken off the gass block and tube.

I'm not familiar with that exact model of FF tube. Is it set up to use a barrel wrench between it and the upper receiver? There shouldn't be any Loc-Tite on a barrel nut.
