I have factory Bushmaster A2. I am trying to remove the existing buffer tube so I can install a tele-stock.
I was told in these forums that the tube is probably secured with lock-tite and I have to heat it with a butane torch.
I just tried that and it still wont come off.
I'm heating it to the point I can barely grasp the tube with thick leather work gloves without burning my hands.
Should the tube come off easily when its heated this much? Do I need  more heat or do I need a vice and big pipe wrench (niether of which I have)

Thanks

Yes, some are locktited on. Heat should break the bond.
On the back of the buffer tube there are wrench flats. I would suggest you try using them with the proper size tool.
