Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Barrel receiver extension fitting.

So, I have my new 20"er done. I have a question though. Does the barrel extension need to fit perfectly flush to the upper receiver? It's perhaps a few hairs off. Barely noticable, but it is there. It doesn't appear to have any affect on the function of the rifle.

If you're using it for match shooting then you should have the face of the receiver trued up to ensure the absolute best accuracy, but for anything else you'll never notice a difference.
