I'm working with a virgin barrel blank.  I have a lathe and Bridgeport.  I understand the procedure for installing the barrel extension, chambering and checking headspace.  As I understand it, the barrel locating pin and the gas port hole are in line with each other on the top of the barrel.  How does one fixture the FSB to ensure that it is aligned properly?

In this thread, you will see a picture or two of a FSB install fixture.

Thanks!  I figured it would take something like that to do it right.  Are there any drawings available that would show the correct location for the pins?   A dimension from barrel centerline would be helpful.

There is no standard location for the pins.  You just drill and ream them where ever you want to.  That's what all the barrel makers do.
