Nope.  The AR-10 receivers are alot bigger.

No.  However, I used my DPMS white delrin action block on my .308LR.  Only one of the pin holes lined up, but that wasn't a problem.

PRI also makes a receiver block that holds both the AR-15 and AR-10 upper receivers.

If your buddy is ordering a PRI handguard, he could add the vise block on to his order.
