This started last October with the Giffman barrel group buy. And I received my last bag of parts about 2 weeks ago. Took it to the range yesterday (Sat.) and it shot like a dream.

Very huge thanks go to Giff, Grant and Roxanne at G&R tactical, and to FARALAK for the on-line instructions.

Jeff Allen

BTW, I want to do another one !

LOL Damn I see alot of people posting rigs like this as their first.   Its sweet but what happened to the plain old carbine or A2 build.

Either way thats a sweet piece of aluminum man,  nice job.

Gentlemen and Ladies,

Thank you for your kind words. The bug hasn't bitten. It has CHOMPED!!!
Next thing I  may do is build from an 80% lower, just to see what that's like.
Putting this one together has really made me appreciate what a brilliant design it really is.
I salute Eugene Stoner.

I stuck a couple more pics on. Forgive my joy. This one is balanced way better than I thought. I've contacted Giffman for another barrel.  The Giff barrel seems like the perfect contour for a carbine. I'm going to get a small drill press, a jig and the drill bits and try to complete an 80%. Justin at CNC is kind enough to let me pick his brain about what I need.
