I got an M4 upper coming and would like to put a rail handguard on it for my vertical grip and my M6x light. Can anyone fill me in on why apparently same handguards will range from $87 to $300+ ? I am sure some have quality differences but heck that is ONE LARGE variation.  Is there that much of a difference between YHM, LMT, Knight, ARMS, etc. etc. ???

I am sure tolerances are different and some may have etched numbers for positioning and some do not but in some cases I have seen a $300+ price difference for the same thing!

What should I look out for ? I am just an average joe gun enthusiast , this is not my patrol carbine and I am not overseas where my life depends on it every moment of the day.

WOW... old thread but lots of info. Thanks, I glanced at all the pages mostly talking about weight but I will read it all in the morning.
