Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - hir-riser build

Hey guys, I am thinking of building another AR with a side-charging handle as DPMS and Ameetec sell them.

DPMS only has them on a high-riser flatop.  what sights work with hi-rise uppers??

I think my 40L would sit uncomfortably high, would a aimpoint or trijicon feel too high??

basically im just looking for advice on any sighting methods for a hi-rise upper.

what works??

You can't use a BUIS on a high-rise upper. IIRC, they are for scope use only but it should do well in that function.
