i just noticed cdnn has complete upper and complete lowers for sale for semi cheap
i.e. 269 and 249 i was wondering if i can buy those and just "snap" them together for a ar15 or if i would have to buy other things

it reads
lower- dpms complete lower can accept any .223 upper sling swivel a2 black zytel miltec stock with trap door ffl required (thats all it states shows pic of lower with trigger group an stock installed)

im kinda ar15 stupid most of my exp has been with ak47 and other millitary rifles never even shot an ar15 but figure i should get one for my collection.
just wondering if i should go this way (im cheap) or just go out and buy a new one

You can't get much better than USGI, so the upper will be good to go.

DPMS is some good stuff too so that will also be good to go.

I would find out if the upper comes with a Bolt/carrier/ and charging handle.

If it doesn't, you'll need to get one and they can be found on the EE. You can get the bolt/carrier for $120ish and the charging handle for about $20.

After that, you would just have to push the two pins and pin the upper on and you'd have yourself an AR.

OK, I got to looking through their downloadable catalog on their website and on page 100, I found what you are talking about.

You will need the bolt/carrier assembly and the Charging handle.
